Welcome to HIGASHIMURA

Nestled among the five beautiful lakes surrounding Mt. Fuji, Lake Saiko is known for its untouched natural beauty.

HIGASHIMURA is a cozy inn “Minshuku” located right by the lakeshore.
With stunning views of both Mt. Fuji and Lake Saiko, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind in a peaceful setting.

What’s Minshuku?

“Minshuku” is a traditional Japanese guesthouse, often run by a local family.
It’s a simple and cozy place to stay, offering a more personal and authentic experience compared to hotels.

In many minshuku, bathrooms and toilets are shared with other guests, and rooms usually do not have private facilities.

About Your Stay

Our guest rooms are traditional Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring. Instead of beds, we provide futon mattresses, which you will lay out yourself when you’re ready to sleep. This is a common and authentic experience in a type of accommodation known in Japan as minshuku.

Please note that there are no convenience stores or supermarkets within walking distance. We recommend purchasing any food or drinks you may need in advance.

We do not offer meals, so your stay will be room-only. You are welcome to bring your own food or dine out at restaurants in the nearby area.
